It was tough on Misha that he had to play so late yesterday, but Nadull definately hasnt played much better than this in a long time.

I hate this blue clay.

Actually clay don't reward tennis skills. Only losers who can't win anywhere else triumph at the F.O. It's like bizarro- world tennis: if you suck you're good, and if you're good you suck.

Let's not talk history yet. He's still making it.

This guy simply can't lose in Paris Convincing performance from Rafa. Misha had his chances to equal to 5:5 in the first set.

Too bad that Misha struggled with injuries this season. Hope to see him healthy and in good form the next year

Me too. I want to see a rematch with both playing well. Though Nalby-Marcos should be great too!

I'm sure you too are pretty happy with the way things are going.

The problem is who to root for tomorrow, Marcos or Rafa?

Youzhny's two wins over Nadal were flukes.

Albeit this is blue clay, and Federer has himself to blame for moaning about the purple carpet in the first place.

Re: Nadal crushes "bad match-up" Youzhny 6-4 6-2 to reach SF....

I said on the prediction thread that Rafa would win in straights, with Youzhny winning a maximum of 6 games - clearly I am a psychic genius.

Good match from Rafa - very pleasing.

The surface is sloooow, but all week the Sky commentators have been saying that the court won't suit Nadal it would suit the big, flat hitters (I assume because of the bounce) but all of a sudden they've decided the court is perfect for him Idiots. :retard:

That was so good! Still some mishits that were abnormal, but he more than made up for those with some amazing shots. I know Youzhny was tired, but he could have been fresh as a daisy and he still wasn't going to be able to return those things.

Well done Rafa! Now beat Baggy!

Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it.

Re: Nadal crushes "bad match-up" Youzhny 6-4 6-2 to reach SF....

Does it really matter how slow the court is? Nadal beat Misha, a player he historically hasnt done well against on hard courts (Dubai 07, everyone moaned about blue clay until Nadal lost ). So its still a great win, and Nadal played fantastic

Glad that Rafa played well- hasn't really done that so far this tournament.

I like a lot of players.
