momentum swings

1) The Coria/Henman match had several momentum swings, but the 1st. one
was huge. Can you think of other matches which had such a huge
momentum swing?

2) Coria won 13 games in a row. Can you think of other matches in which
a player won at least 10 games in a row?

Re: momentum swings

1) Virtually any Gaudio match against a top player.

2) From a set and 3-0 up, Corretja lost 13 games in a row against Blanco last year in the first round; McEnroe mentioned today that he led Wilander 4-1 in the third set at one set all on clay before losing 11 games in a row and the match in four sets; and of course, who could forget the final of two years ago, in which Costa and Ferrero held their opening service games for 1-1, they had to go off for a short rain delay, and it took Ferrero until the third set to win another game...

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.
