Fed no longer the genius he once was

He will still win majors and remain # 1 because there is no one to challenge him but he is no longer the Federer everyone fears and thinks is unbeatable.

Re: Fed no longer the genius he once was

To be fair, the Nalbandian of tonight would have trashed almost every player on the tour......the fact Federer is still in the match just shows how good he is.

Re: Fed no longer the genius he once was

he's still a genius. older perhaps and maybe just not as hungry now as two years ago but definitely still a genius.

whether he will dominate the game as he has next year.. well I think 3 majors next year is less likely than before. and Nalby tonite is on fire. if only he'd played like this all year round.

Please see here if interested in downloading tennis matches.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a Rafa hater. I am, however, a RAFATARD hater and therefore take endless delight in each Rafa loss as it allows me to sock it hard to his tards. Do try and understand the difference (TARDS)! Don't get me started on Choke-ovic though. Him I do despise. And his TARDS are the lowest of the low .

Re: Fed no longer the genius he once was

When Nalbandian plays well, he is always a tough opponent for Federer. Roger is still a genius.

Nothing different about his intelligence, it's he lack of power on his shots that will trouble him going forward.

lol, people said the same when he lost against Cañas, and after that...:

Won Hamburg, Wimbledon, Cincy, USO, Basel
Final MC, RG, Canada, Madrid

yes... he is still not the same.

He will win in Shangai anyway

Nobody can play at his top for the whole career, unless he retire at 26 yo.

there should be some sort of graph that shows how many of these threads pop up after a (rare) federer loss.

same thing happened to Tiger Woods in 2003-04.. when he failed to win a major for two & half years
Tiger lost his invincibility but then gradually got it back [5-majors in 2005-07]

~~it must be stressful for FED to stay on top so long, sooner or later a major letdown is going to affect him, but i expect him to rebound because he loves the game so much
