Why don't the Argentines get along.

Is it true that the Argentines don't get along?
I heard someone on this forum say none of them like Coria, and I remember PMac said something about Nalbandian not having many friends on tour plus the French press gave him some kind of sour apple award. I also remember last year that the announcers said Coria and Zabaleta were not friends.

Is this true, and if it is, can someone explain to me why they don't get along?

Never listen to the commentators on Nalbandian, Pmac and the other espn commentators seem to have a dislike toward him.I think that Nalbandian is a much more reserved guy than some of the guys and he doesn't really speak english much wich make it harder for the international press.

Re: Why don't the Argentines get along.

I agree with Shy. When I was at the Houston tournament at the end of last year, I noticed that the Argentinian contingent was more enthusiastic for Coria than they were for Nalbandian. But, I think that's because of their personalities.

In the French, I've noticed a lot of national pride about their huge accomplishment. David was sitting next to Suarez's coach for her semi and he was really cheering her on.

I think David is probably a nice guy in one on one relationships. He doesn't owe the English speaking press anything. I really, really like the fact that David does his talking on the court. I like that about Lleyton, too. I could care less about their favorite color, who they're dating, or how many houses they own.

Yeah, that's true. I thought it was a really nice gesture from him being there and cheering for her. It's not that usual to see.

Re: Why don't the Argentines get along.

Argentinians are loud, cocky, macho and very blunt. Its there culture, they just are hit-blooded peeps. Nalby isnt a hardcore Argie, cos hes Armenian, thats probs why they dont get along, or just a plain clash of personalities. Hey and believe me what Argentinians are like, ive been to their bloody country!!!

Re: Why don't the Argentines get along.

And so what? the fact that you've been for our country means that you KNOW us?
Yes, we are loud and we are cocky, but do you think we're ALL like that? I mean, I don't blame you for being damn serious, damn patriotic and damn 'i have no sense of humor' people (except for jez ) cuz I know not all of you are like that!
