Thumbs up Koubek beats Mugnacio 63 64

I like Mugnacio a little but Koubek too, he is playing well and this match was played on indoor carpet so never in doubt

R1 Basel : "El Fashionista" Koubek def "Chubby" Chela 6-3 6-4

This is strange from Koubek, having consistently good performances, instead after one good one, then having 7 bad tournaments awards.

He was up 5-1 in the 2nd and almost blew it, but unlike Ginepri he held onto his lead.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

On clay, Juan Ignacio Chela.
On hard, Juan Mugnacio Chela.
On carpet, Juan Mugnacio Crapela.

And in the meantime Ferrer lost the first set to Calleri.

Do they ALL not want to qualify to the YEC??

He has had his best career year and Return Winner still isn't happy. Well he won his 1st ever 5 setter on grass this season, coming back from 2 sets down.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

You are always bagging players, even more than I do and that is saying something.

At least Chela win would win more than 3 points against Hugo Armando in a set.

Anyway enough of Chela and more about the 3rd greatest Austrian player of all time, he is going to play Kiefer more than likely in the next round. I wonder if Damian Steiner will umpire this one.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Koubek is on a roll these days

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.
