Fish def Almagro again 2-6 6-3 7-6(4)

Fish served like a god in the final set and didn't drop a point on serve until he served for the match 5-4 30-0....then lost 4 points in a row and got broken.
That semi-choke didn't matter in the end though.

"Definitely a good win to beat someone as talented as him, three times in a row now", Fish said. "We've had close matches every time, any one of them could have gone ether way; I could easily be 0-3 down instead of up. But I was really happy with the way I played in the second and third sets and these courts are pretty quick and they suit my game pretty well."

I thought he had played Almagro just once before in Vienna a couple of weeks back. Maybe they played a challenger some place. Anyone know?

A player of Almagros quality losing to a disresctful and no talent player like Fish really shows what the problem is with Almagro

Fish is a headcase, anyway congrats for him He was lucky this time that Almugro isn't as good mentally as Robredo.

Fish can't help but be arrogant and conceited in every damned interview he gives. Does he even realize he's a "C" player at best ?

Three times in a row now, Mommy ! Love me love me , I did it again Daddy !!! I'm not counting, but three times !!

Fish is the biggest asshole on the tour anyway you look at it, both off court, on court, during interviews etc. The guy is a disgrace to the tour, and needs shutting up, he has no respect for anyone.

That's a bit harsh. Ok the guy has an ego, but then who doesn't?
Anyway he's from the US where guys generally are encouraged to brag a little.

May I borrow your brush? I'd like to paint my house in one broad stroke.

I'm sorry, what did he say that was so bad? He said it is good to beat him 3 times in a row because Almagro is so talented? How is that egotistical? I mean I get calling him on it when he actually does something, but in this case, it seems a little silly.

That's the point - Fish has NO right to be arrogant or full of himself. For a PRO, he has awful results. He should be embarrassed, not bragging every chance he gets.

His earnings for 2007 are less than my bosses. Considering Fish has to pay his way for air, hotel, food, etc. In fact I bet most of your bosses did better than this 'pro'.

Remember when he lost a tight match (forgot his opponent) - at the net he said to him "you will NEVER beat me again" in a straight face.
Piece of shit makes me ashamed to be American.
