Well, he had 10 months to show good form and qualify for the tournament. If he continues to play the way he recently did he will be amongst the best 8 players next year for sure.

Well, at least we probably see him in 2008 (Unless he'll play like he did this year...)
I mean, he better be there next year!!!!

Re: nalbandian not to make shanghai, what a shame

Funny, i heard the same complain when Gonzo didn't make it last year. But there is not shame in neither case. Shanghai is a reward to the eight players that have been the most consistent through the year, and since everybody is well aware on how the system to get the points to qualify works, there is nothing to regret. The eight ones who will get there totally deserved.

you're right.
This event is for the 8 players who had the best results this year, and Nalbandian is not one of them, I'm not saying he deservs to be there according to his results this year, but now when he finally back to himself, I'm sure many would love to see him there..

it's not a shame at all. All he had to show prior to this was one QF. A place in the masters cup is the reward of an entire season, not just one tournament.

Hi all, i'm peter and i'm a huge fan of Pat Rafter

That's a different story, and i agree with you there. Let's see what the next year brings to FIT Dave.

If he manages to win Paris, then they should give him a WC for Shanghai.

Couldn't have said it better. Not to mention that the Race rewards a whole year's work, and not 1 week.

and word.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.
