Argentinian line calls....

Why is it that these Argentinians have to question every single ball falling on the line that is in their disfavor? Everybody knows that Coria is horrible doing this all the time, but now I see the others following... Suarez, Nalbandian, you name them. Nalbandian didn't even trust Kuerten saying it was out today, one of the good, decent and honest guys on the tour, but had to have the ref check it. Can somebody enlighten me if I'm wrong, cause this is really getting very annoying....

Re: Argentinian line calls....

If Nalbandian isn't going to verify the call in his own interest, then who will?

MY FAVES: Coria, Nalbandian, Canas, FOXY Ferrero, Guga, Grosjean, Costa, Juan Monaco.

Re: Argentinian line calls....

I agree that players do this, but the Argentines are just NOTORIOUS doing this every single time!! At least to me it's like they want to get points that are not rightfully theirs, and I've just had enough.... I used to like several of the Argentines, but this just turns me against them. It probably won't hurt them to show some sportsmanship.

wath´s wrong with that? did you freaking see the match?? Nalbandian never complained about the calls......he just wanted to be sure. A few times he was right and the umpire had to change the call and when he saw the ball was in....he said so...like a perfect gentleman.....

Any player has the right of asking the umpire to check if the ball was in or out.

I agree Coria always does that, and it drives me crazy, but I don't think David does it on purpose, he gave 2 point to Guga when the line judges said it was out, so it's not fair.

Re: Argentinian line calls....

What a ridiculous thng to say about David! He never does that! Not only on this match, but in general.

Have you wathced the match Roger Federer - David Nalbandian in Australian Open 2004 quaterfinals. myygen? Line judge called Federer's ball out, on Nalbandians serve 0/0, and Nalbadian showed with his hand that it was in, and he gave a point to Federer!! Audiences awarded him with an aplause.

Nalbandian never plays tricks with line calls - I myself wouldn't be his supporter neither if he was doing that.

Re: Argentinian line calls....

I guess you're right about Nalbandian, and I always thought he was a decent guy. Probably seen too much of Coria on TV lately... It's not like I dislike Argentina, though. Got plenty of friends from there and I'm going to Buenos Aires next month so it's all good if we exclude the line calls...

Sportsmanship consists of fairness, good attitude, good behavior, respect of others... Do you really think this is what Coria stand for?
