Nalbandian and Safin

When I see Nalbandian play a match like today it makes me shake my head at how good he could have been. Same for Safin of old. The two of them are as talented as Fed, Nadal and Joke but they lack the work ethic for conditioning, the comittment to the sport and the desire to be the best. Opposite those two are Hewitt and Roddick who have the fire and drive but not the weapons. Fed, Nadal and Joke combine all the traits while the rest of the field is lacking in one or more areas.

Re: Nalbandian and Safin

Some people obviously haven't heard of serious injuries. Oh well.

I agree with Nalbandian. With Safin, it's mental and physical. He's physically not as good as before.

Re: Nalbandian and Safin

Nalbandian is frustrating especially. Marat is a headcase and should have achieved more, but he has had a really good career despite his head issues. Nalbandian on the other hand has really won nothing significant other than the TMC and sometimes doesn't even look that interested in playing tennis. He's so talented and I just wonder why he didn't put a little more work in.

Even now, I fully expect him to follow up his stunning performance today by getting killed 2 & 3 by Nole in the semi.

Andy Murray
Novak Djokovic ~ Juan Martin Del Potro ~ Paul Henri Mathieu ~ Rafael Nadal ~ Tomas Berdych ~ Stanislas Wawrinka ~ Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ~ Richard Gasquet

It's just you don't want to have a lot of expectations, because when you start to have a lot of expectations you just end up losing in the third round to God knows who. ~Marat Safin, summarizing his career

No comment:
Mawie: he kinda reminds me of me, he feels obligated to have every sentence be a joke
Maggie Tulliver: and he takes his clothes off when he sees a camera
Maggie Tulliver: it's a little pathetic
Maggie Tulliver: it's like his first reaction

It's still too early but Gasquet could join them if he doesnt step up his mental game.

Fakervic and Rafa have nowhere the talents of those two. Or the 500 injuries Safin's had to endure.

Re: Nalbandian and Safin

Exactly, some people dont understand how Safin needs pain killers still, before he goes into a match.

He is still going through pain, maybe that has something to do with it eh?!

Use your brain if you have one.

I like Safin and was not referring to Safin at this moment, so try and READ what I wrote. Safin has admitted that he has lacked desire to train, rather chase woman and drink vodka. I can't balme him. Apparently you like Safin as how sensative you are. The point is that he could have done much better than he has with the talent he was blessed with notwithstanding the injuries.

Thanks and STFU

I agree, trying not to start a tard war over who's better. Just commenting how the two are immensely talented and should have done better.
