Well done, Paulo. Your opponent doesn't deserve to go to Shanghai.

look at the stats of the first set, Gasquet wasted great chances to win it, 17 return points won and Mathieu just 9 and four bp wasted to 0 for Mathieu , and Gasquet had any set point?

I concurr unfortunately. Unable to convert break points in the first set, playing them all 40000 yards behind the baseline. It's like he will never learn.

Gasquet played so negatively when things got tight there. On a court of this type he who dares usually wins and I must say I prefer that to be the case. Good win for Mathieu and he played a good match overall.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

I'm so pissed at Gasquet

Congrats to Mathieu. When he broke Gasquet in the 2nd set, I switched to Djokovic's match. Ridiculous from Gasquet. But, there were many nice points played in the match.

This BYE for top players seems to be doing more harm than good.

Gasquet
Berdych
Ferrer

Well, if he doesn't learn, he doesn't deserve better results.

Damn fucking thing this is,
That's what mugs do when it's really crucial.
Berdych choking million times and Gasquet playing defensively at his 1000% percent.

The mind sees what it wants to see

Gasquet is overhyped, and here it shows again.

Am I still alive? I'm still f*cking ... Here...!"
