Jarkko dominated the match until 7-6 *4-4...the same old story

He had 6 bp's in the second set (once 3 in a row), took none, and Blake was able to come back. Great first set tiebreak from Jarkko, Blake only got a point there.

Yay James, well done, keep it going.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Well done James.
It was a nice Houdini act by him in the second to stay alive.

Tim Henman--Gael Monfils--James Blake--Donald Young--Rafael Nadal--Jo-Wilfried Tsonga--John Isner--Janko Tipsarevic--Richard Gasquet.

Good win, James. It was a typical JB match: lots of ups and downs, enough to make it interesting even when "watching" it from the live scoreboard.

Keep it up, James!!

Blake looks like a specialist in Stockholm in winning matches after losing 1st set in a tie-break - it has happened 4th time.
He's better in Stockholm than Ljubicic in Vienna.

The leftie-killing streak goes on, and it seems Blake is winning more and more tight matches where he has to dig deep these days.

surprisingly jaap is actually correct for once. Typical Nieminen - rock solid, but when it comes time to finish off one of the top players, he folds mentally. Knows he's not supposed to win and therefore doesn't.

All the way now, Jimmy.
