French Open: some fashionable gears

some contenders:

BLACK:

e.g. Jürgen Melzer, black headband, black shirt ... and very flashy pink shorts!
I liked Melzer's style A LOT, except the shorts

__________________________________________________ _______

YELLOW:

e.g. Carlos Moyá and Stefan Koubek: yellow is often a very neglicted color in fashion, but you could see some yellow shirts last week. I personally, loved it very much with Carlos
Also notice Carlos' wrist band and his shoes, you find some yellow lines there, too
(BTW, for those who didn't know yet: Koubek has a belly piercing)
Andrei Pavel was another one who played in yellow, just don't have a picture of him

__________________________________________________ ________

DARK GREEN

e.g. Andy Roddick, IMO not a bad outfit, I liked the combination of the color of his cap and his shirt he was wearing. Not too shabby

__________________________________________________ ________

(LIGHT) BLUE

e.g. Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt are just many of the players who prefer blue. Sure, blue is not such a "spectacular" color and pretty common, but Lleyton deserves some credit for his blue shoes

__________________________________________________ ________

RED

e.g. Gustavo Kuerten, we all know the red shirts of Rainer Schüttler, Tommy Haas, Mikhail Youzhny, ... but in days of his success I selected Guga as an example for a red outfit. Also the black vertical stripes on each side make his shirt a bit special

__________________________________________________ ________

I know I did forget all these players who are wearing mainly white.

Who are your favorites?
Who did I forget? A picture would be nice then...

Re: French Open: some fashionable gears

Andy's outfit was clearly the best! He has an eye for trend in men's fashion. I hope my boyfriend can be like that someday!

With each passing season, I discover new reason
SAMPRAS --> Rios --> KUERTEN --> Kafelnikov -->
Federer --> Hewitt --> RODDICK --> GONZALEZ -->
NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->
TURSUNOV --> Mantilla --> KIEFER --> NADAL -->
Karlovic --> Odesnik --> Stepanek --> Monfils -->
??

Re: French Open: some fashionable gears

I like the blue outfits best and Guga's red outfit is also nice. I think Andy's green is unique which I admire.

As for those pink shorts!

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: French Open: some fashionable gears

Who sponsors Jurgen? I'm not familiar with that logo (if it is one )

Lopez wore yellow too and he looked fabulous in it. I like the yellow but only a few can carry off the look (Lopez and Moya).

I love love LOVE that French blue color on Rogi and Lleyton! Gorgeous.

And I'm probably one of the few girls who likes the army green on Andy, too, although it's not a great color to wear when you're sick. Heh. I also like that he chose a color that nobody else was wearing. He's got a good eye for men's fashion.

And I think Nalby was the only one wearing orange on the men's side. I like the orange-white combo but it wasn't very flattering on him. And he needs to lose the David Beckham hairdo. Him and Mardy Fish both. I hate that look. Blech.

Congrats to Andy Roddick, 2017 Hall of Fame!

As a punishment you get a now

Melzer's sponsor is called Sportastic.

here's the posting that mentioned as I mentioned this in Andy's Chit Chat thread some time ago:

I vote for the blue. I thought both Federer and Hewitt looked mighty fine in both.

Re: French Open: some fashionable gears

Moya would look good in pretty much anything!

Rodger always looks so smart and this pale blue is rather nice.

Schuettler looks better in blue too!

PS... Safin as fine as he is always looks scruffy

Re: French Open: some fashionable gears

I like the Nike ones. I prefer Andy's previous green one. Is it just a coincidence or did Reebok decide to use green as the colour theme for both the men's and women's new lines (see Venus).
