How to eliminate choking from the ATP

The current era of ATP is plagued with chokers which takes away from the quality of competition.

The solution is simple - negative reinforcement.

The ATP should fine the players $1000-$100000 for every break point wasted depending on the situation and the tournament.

This method has been used in other sports like minor league baseball coaches fining pitchers who give up a hit on a 0-2 count.

With this system chokers will slowly but surely be forced to leave the ATP and a new golden age of tennis will return. Where all the players will be heroes and fighters as they should be.

I know many bleeding hearts will disagree but this will be best for tennis.

The ATP deserves a better class of player, and I'm gonna give it to 'em - Djoker

Dancevic would have been paying Wessels for the court time.

Only idiots, clowns and fools would disagree.

There is only one logical path.

I'd say, though, that the choker only pays if he loses the match.

Chokers make things more entertaining, if anything they should be paid extra

Makes sense.

That way people who constantly choke would not make any cash and be forced to leave the ATP improving the tour as a whole.

It's hard to make De Villiers looks like a good steward of the ATP but two posters on this thread have managed it.
