great fight, Marat!!

very honorable that he didn't retire despite all his blisters and being 0-2 sets down

Nalbandian played great tennis, too!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Nalby def Marat 7-5 6-4 6-7 6-3

i woudnt feel too sorry for marat, as he put up a great fight, but all credit to nalby for actually winning.

Nieminen- The lucky lefty of tennis.
Sampras- The hairy champion of tennis.
Ferrero- The mosquito of tennis.
Srichaphan- The Thai- ger of tennis.
Safin - The of tennis.
Bagdatis- The quotesman of tennis "my coach will watch, i will sleep with my girlfriend"
Kiefer- The naive guy, "yeh, me and seb are good friends"
Santoro- The double handed wizard of tennis.
Lopez- IS my hair right? IS my lipstick right?
Moya- The tatoo and muscles of tennis (although nadal kicks his ass in that department).
Tipsarevic- The tatoo of tennis, competing with moya.
Djokovic- Stole Jiri's surname

Sorry if I left out your favourite, just PM me to let me know-- thanks.

I am tired of all this credits to Safin whenever he looses. It was the same in Australian Open, and now again.

SICK AND TIRED

Wait for him to win before congratulating him!

He was clearly outplayed today. He wasn't even serving better then Nalbandian, only his volleying was admirable.

I want you to rub your hands with sand paper for half an hour and then go out and play some tennis. Especially the long backhand rallies. He was volleying because he had no other choice.
Look at those pics above. The blisters are on both hands in the same amout.

Now yeah, congrats Nalby anyway. but he wasn't given a good run for the money.

*End of discussion from me.*

Anastasia Myskina, Marat Safin thank you.

Marat had setpoint in the 1st set and chances to win even in straight sets. The match could have went either way.

Yes, David played good, consistent tennis. He's a good player, I just don't like his style. That does NOT mean I don't respect him. Kudos to both players.

Not really, Nalbandian was the better player even in set 3 where he choked it away

Re: Nalby def Marat 7-5 6-4 6-7 6-3

I thought Marat wasn't gonna make it in the 4th set, with the blisters and the fatigue.

The crowd was really unrespectful towards him when he asked for Medical Atention. They were booing at him and it was pretty dissapointing not just because of the effort Marat was doing but because he was playing mainly to please them all cuz i'm sure he knew we wasn't gonna win.
The funny thing is that the crowd was cheering for him in the third set

But still, it was a very good match, not as I had expected it but I enjoyed it
Congrats to Nalbi, and Marat for the effort
