Will Coria bitch-slap Moya in the quarters?

Fairly self-explanatory! Will Moya get absolutely thumped by Coria or can he avert the inevitable?

Re: Will Coria bitch-slap Moya in the semis?

I suggest Moya slips some laxatives into Coria's water or something. This would definitely give our resident cry-baby a legitimate reason for a toilet break!

I'd be disappointed if Coria wins this match easily, although I do expect him to be the winner in the end. Would be quite happy if Moya can pull it off.

Unless Coria chokes under pressure, this should be another routine clay-court asskicking. I expect Coria to end the year as world number two

He could get a shot at number 1 if he improves on other surfaces. I hope that Henman challenges top 3 by the end of the year. He could beat Roddick on most days to push him out of top 3. This isn't just my patriotism getting in the way - Henman played well to get to a high of no.4 but he is playing far better now.

Besides, this aint a thread about rankings prospects...it is about an inevitable ass-kicking for Moya, dealt by Coria!

I dont see what is sooo good about Coria's game, I'm assuming that all he does is moonball and waits for the opponent to make a mistake because hes not producing a lot of winners or forced errors, his serve isn't a huge weapon. If Carlos serves the way he did in the 3rd round and keeps the UFE down, he could be the one kicking Coria's ass. Hell, I could overpower coria

Re: Will Coria bitch-slap Moya in the quarters?

You know what I think is really encouraging about Coria? Is that he's such a small guy compared to everybody else but that that really hasn't really been a strike against him so far. He can handle power serves and is never afraid to challenge the bigger guys. Although I do think his size has a lot to do with the constant injuries, I think its cool to see smaller sized guys like him and Robredo weighing it in with the rest of them.

Just a random thought.

MY FAVES: Coria, Nalbandian, Canas, FOXY Ferrero, Guga, Grosjean, Costa, Juan Monaco.

Re: Will Coria bitch-slap Moya in the quarters?

I saw Coria play in Houston on clay in 02. I saw him take Roddick to three sets even though I didn't think Coria was very good because of his lack of pace. But Coria has picked up the pace, and he's consistend and quick which works on any surface. Little did I know that day two years ago, I was looking at a future world number 1 and grand slam champion, and I'm not talking about Roddick!!!

Umm...I thought Marat was the resident crybaby

Anyway, too bad Moya and Coria had to meet so early. I mean what's Henman doing in the quarters

Hey!! Despite the fact that he has played lesser opposition, he has still deserved his place in the quarters, and the feat of reaching the quarters in a slam outside Wimbledon was well overdue. He has deserved the match against Chela, after fighting back from 2 sets to love and a break down in two matches, both against Frenchies and both on the same enclosed, claustrophobic court with a crowd that boos his double faults. He did so well in that atmosphere and deserves credit rather than abuse - afterall where is Roddick, Federer and Agassi?

All too true. Henman is finally finally coming into his own mentally and its great to see.

I think that Coria will win... But I am really hoping that Moya can pull this one off and with the entire thing...
