Federer, Roddick and Blake aren't playing and Ferrer and Gasquet are replacing them, I think (?). But none of this is confirmed so that makes it confusing.
They've got four wildcards allocated to Japanese players.
If so, is this the first time so many top players were replaced with other top players with none of them being awarded wildcards? And if so, were the ATP desperately looking for replacements like they do in the WTA sometimes. I think I remember Mauresmo being upset about them asking her to play in an event when a lot of the top women withdrew last year.
