Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

I'm glad somebody made a thread. We can make one for Coria when he "cheats" this tournament

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

This thread

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

Iv'e come to the conclusion that the reason Safin has irked me so much by acting like Coria is that I always thought he was better than that. I had the bullshit illusion of him being a "fair" player. *snort* Thanks for shitting on that image, Marat. At least Coria doesn't hide the fact that he's a "cheat"

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

But Coria's never done the stuff with line calls has he? That's not cheating per se but to use such crappy tactics to distract your inexperienced opponent are what I don't like. The injury timeout doesn't even really bother me, it's the other crap he did. In fact this was really the first time I'd ever heard of a player pre-empting line calls just to be intimidating at crucial points. Is this commonplace

Coria has self appointed himself as line judge on occasion

Right, so have a lot of players, but for no other apparent reason than to be a jerk and intimidate the opponent at really important points (I'm not defending Coria, just asking b/c I don't know.)?

Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

bunk, I don't think that such behavior is beyond Coria. I haven't seen him do it before, but seeing as I only see his matches a few times a year, that is undoubtedly why. I'm sure he has

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

Why stop at Safin? Let's make this a thread for everyone accused or suspected of cheating past and present:
Coria
Duckboy
Henin
Robredo
Clijsters
Williams Sisters
McEnroe, older
Connors

Anyone else come to mind

The "Magician" Coria and now .. the "Apprentice" Safin, pulling tricks against somebody ranked so low..

In case you failed to notice, Coria, Robedo, and Roddick do have threads made everytime they so much as squeak their shoes. So quit bitching, Safin apologists.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: The SAFIN is a cheat cheering thread

TF be quiet. Everyone's done it at some point, and they get their due here at friendly MTF. Hell Andy's Lapentti match is still brought up on this board 2 years later. It's Marat's turn now
