Not much you can say to that apart from "too good."

Although Lopez needed to have served better.

Take the title Ivo!

Re: Karlovic def. Lopez 7-6(2) 6-3

It's pretty simple: Ivo's serve was working, Feli's wasn't. Feli didn't play particularly bad, he just couldn't get many first serves in to save his life, which pretty much dictated everything.

I have to say, Ivo continues to bore me with his 'game'. He looks like a very nice guy, but I can't stand it. He made a few good actual shots today, which was nice to see, but it's always the same with him. Granted, if players could actually get a racket on his serve, it might force him to actually play points. 'If you don't have to, why bother?' sort of thing, I suppose.

Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it.

Sure, it may not be the most interesting tennis, but it is exciting, in some form, to see someone who has such a talent in that aspect of their game. It is astonishing how much he has improved his serve in the space of 2 years.

Kind of surprising, as I thought that Lopez would storm through.

Yeah but not only serve. He breaks a lot more than he used to. If you look at his results from 2-3 years ago, he was winning sets almost only in the tie-breaks against decent players.
He has improved his serve, because he's broken a lot less than 2 years ago, and his return game because he breaks a lot more now.

Yeah his serve is the biggest improvement, and he has got better on forehand and backhand sides. He is still capable of awful stroke-making though...I had my hands over my face a few times during the Notts final.

Actually i find robredo very boring as well.
Well you prefer boring baseline game as simple as that. we prefer fast servers. so it may be boring to you but certainly not boring to me.

Yes I am fan of Robredo's, because I don't find him boring. You do, fine.

I don't prefer 'boring baseline game', and you had no basis to say that I do. At no point did I say I have a problem with fast servers. I said his game bored "me"...I never said it was boring in general. And who the crap is this 'we' you are referring to?

I would not agree with that, his serve has always been awesome,if he is broken less time,it's because his volleys are a lot less eratic and also because he doesn't serve and volley every time on 2nd serve, that let him more possibilities to hit his forehand.
By the way, good win today and now win the title ivo
