Korea into the WG.

They were definitely quite lucky to draw a weak Slovak team though.

H-T reliable as always.

Fantastic result for Korea and great to finally see an Asian team make the World Group.

It's been 20 years since Korea played in the WG when they lost 5-0 to France. I doubt they have a much better chance this time but who knows. With a lucky draw they might just pull a surprise.

Japan had chances to join them. Too bad.

Indeed it would have been very nice, but if the likes of Peru, Britain and Korea have shit #2 players then what does that make Japan's #1 player? Suzuki is ranked outside the top 200 and getting old. They overachieved to get as far as they did, and congrats to them, but they never really deserved a place in the World Group. At least Korea has a solid top 50 player who can cope very well on all surfaces.

You forget the Japanese young gun, Kei. He has good potential.

Life is empty and meaningless. It is in emptiness that we create possibilities for extraordinary results
