Indeed it would have been very nice, but if the likes of Peru, Britain and Korea have shit #2 players then what does that make Japan's #1 player? Suzuki is ranked outside the top 200 and getting old. They overachieved to get as far as they did, and congrats to them, but they never really deserved a place in the World Group. At least Korea has a solid top 50 player who can cope very well on all surfaces.
