Terracotta "WTF" Warriors

http://www.masters-cup.com/1/news/2007/warriors.asp

Quote:
The ATP, governing body of the men's professional tennis circuit, has commissioned a sculptor to create Terracotta Warriors of the best eight tennis players in the world to mark the Tennis Masters Cup, the prestigious circuit ending championship held in Shanghai, China.
Here's the gallery http://www.masters-cup.com/1/photogallery/

Some other pics of other players in contention getting measured, Roger, Rafa, and Novak all being made, of course. Looks cool...wonder what their bodies will be like.

novak's sculpture looks ordinary...like joe schmoe

federer and nadal are pretty realistic. They have this aura of regality.

There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers.

Re: Terracotta "WTF" Warriors

Novak's doesn't look like him It looks like a dad from a 1960's sitcom. But Roger's and Rafa's are pretty cool

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Re: Terracotta "WTF" Warriors

I'm not so sure that is really Federer's nose.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Terracotta "WTF" Warriors

That is the coolest idea. It'll be great when the eight finished pieces are standing there together.

What would they do if someone unexpected claws his way in? Did they measure Moya, he's 10th! Wouldn't it be awful if one guy didn't get a warrior?

RAFAEL NADAL
"There are some people who say he can only play on clay, and they don't have any idea of tennis."--Roger Federer

Guillermo Cañas | Marat Safin | Carlos Moya | Fernando Verdasco

David Ferrer | Marcos Baghdatis | Juan Monaco | Fernando Gonzalez

I think Novak is a fine looking man (nice face, great green eyes, lean strong body). No, I'm not gay.

Djokovic's sculpture looks more like Perry Farrel's one IMO.
