Ljubicic gets 1st win over Baghdatis 6-4 4-6 7-6 (5) in Beijing QFs

Well done Ivan, great aftermatch handshake between the two.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

It was a good match. Conditions are very slow. Slow court + cold weather almost made it like watching a match on clay. Ivan saved himself with a very good fh pass at 5-5 15-30 in the 3rd. Let a double mini break slip away in the TB but thankfully still won.

Damn I couldn't see last 10 mins because of an annoying customer... what do you mean by that handshake?

Anyway, a very entertaining match in front of nearly empty stands.

It's a new court as well and very heavy conditions, but it was worth watching.

As I said before this match could have been the final, but could haves don't cut it.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

It means what it says about the handshake. It was played in a very good spirit and the crowd was loud for this one considering the numbers and there were some good rallies which they appreciated.

That's nice to hear, I just wasn't certain if you were perhaps being sarcastic.
You are so natural at that, so I couldn't tell.

Yes, Baggy is many things but he's not a sore loser.

Re: Ljubicic gets 1st win over Baghdatis 6-4 4-6 7-6 (5) in Beijing QFs

The commentator was so enthusiastic, but he kept calling Ljubo = Ljubovic. I am disappointed that he didn't call Baghdatis, Baghdatinho.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
