ATP Fantasy Tennis

Hey, does anyone have a team in the ATP European fantasy game?

If so, what's the name and what is your current standing?

I have a team at 240 out of like 1100. The only way I can win is if Olivier Mutis beats Hewitt in the final of RG!!!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

I do - Rusedski on the Rampage, and i have been yo-yoing up and down the ranks cos most of my players are so damn erratic!! I have been as low as 800, up to a high (!!) of 243 and am now 303. I'll catch you up soon!

Fancy joining my sub-league "Support Greg Rusedski" ? He needs YOUR support!!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

Oh yeah, i didn't post the name of my team.
Its actually NO MORE AMERICANS!!
-- I think I was pissed at Roddick at the time I registered.
Anyways, one big mistake I made was not having Nalbandian on my team during Rome

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

yeah i've looked at your team and it is rather good. You are not far ahead of me but i only have 5 players left, one of which has spooned up his match many times so far and is still yet to finish his goddam second round match that she have bloomin' well finished in 4 damn sets!!

It's quite a challenging competition this one cos of the transition from clay to grass. I hope you took that into account!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

jez, did u notice I wasted two substituions on Agassi? One to put him on St. Polten and one to yoink him off. Now i have no substitutions left and I will only have 6 for the grass court season. I'm gonna keep club Fed and Hewitt, and put Roddick, Henman, Bjorkman, Schalken, and Arthurs on there. then i'll save one substitution until the wimbie draw is out

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

Hehe - yeah i wasted two on Federer. Put him in for Rome and then took him out after that dreadful performance and what happens...he wins Hamburg!!! I swear Gonzalez has been playing with my head too. In both competitions i put him in the team and performs crap and then i take him out and he does really well. I put him in especially for the masters and roland g and now look what has happened!

I had a strategy going into the main body of the clay season so that i could get some good grass players in my team and i should still be able to do it with 6 substitutions. I hope to get Tim (of course!!) Roger, Andy, Schalken/Dent and Arthurs and Escude i think. Not sure, might not be able to afford all that!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

thanx jez.
You could have given yourself more grass court subs if u hold some of your May substitutions until after Roland Garros has begun.
I hope someone else is going to post in this thread.
With all the tennis junkies here we can't be the only ones with teams

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

Well i didn't hold any other subs so i could get coria and a few others!!

A few others play Fantasy tennis but most view it as a waste of time and money.

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

Sadly, i seem to be taking a nose-dive despite the fact that Federer went out. I thought that would dent most peoples' haulage of points...but obviously not!!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

Safin aint gonna to win...i got him but i also have a back up plan - i have Nalbandian too!!

As for Hewitt, he is probably gonna get to the final but i want him to lose tomorrow anyway...no wish against your team but i don't like Hewitt!

Re: ATP Fantasy Tennis

I'd love for Hewitt to get to the final, but I don't think he will beat both Gaudio and then Safin/Kuerten. Who do you think Kim Clijsters will cheer for tomorrow? Her sex partner Hewitt or her countryman Malisse?
