Grosjean has gone!

What a surprise - I know that Starace is good, given some of his excellent results this year, but it is rather shocking that he disposed of the best French player in straight sets! What on earth happened Seb?

Re: Grosjean has gone!

Starace practised with Roger a few days ago.

On a more serious note, I have no idea what happened. ESPN didn't show much of it, all I have seen is the scoreline.

Re: Grosjean has gone!

However, from the stats, we can see that Starace got 80% first serves in, while Grosjean got 53. 19 UEs to 41...

Re: Grosjean has gone!

Starace played great, sad for Grosjean I really like him. Sadly I doubt he will ever win a slam unless they make one indoors, in which case, maybe...

Re: Grosjean has gone!

Seb blew it in the first set tiebreak -- he had two set points. too bad for him.

Re: Grosjean has gone!

Seb Not a great way to celebrate his birthday this weekend.

I wish ESPN would've shown more of the match because Potito did seem impressive. Not to mention this is my 2nd fave that he's taken out. He took out my favorite head case, Dmitry Tursunov, in the first round. I think it would be coll to see more than one qualifier in the round of 16 .

PAW 2013:
Munich - 2nd place
Halle - 4th place
's-Hertogenbosch - 4th place
GSTAAD - WINNER

Re: Grosjean has gone!

Grosjean wasn't ready this year. Doesn't matter, he'll do better next time!

I'm happy for Potito, he played very well and deserved the win. It's nice to see someone like him in third round.
