Fererro.......

I was just wondering, how were Ferrero's stats on non clay surfaces earlier in his career. It's always been said that he could play well on all surfaces, but was that true even in his earlier days? I'm so busy I just don't have the time to search these stats so can anybody lend a hand?

Re: Fererro.......

I'm not going to look them up, but his USO stats from 99-02 were R1-R4-R3-R3, if memory serves. He had never reached the second week in Australia before 2002, and he never reached the second week of Wimbledon before last year. He always had the potential to do well on other surfaces, but he didn't really prove it until the last couple of years, and especially the last one.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Fererro.......

Just speculation here, but in his "earlier" days, I don't think that he had the confidence or self believe on other surfaces yet. He also had to develop his game a bit, especially his serve. His serve is much better now then it was a few years ago. Mind you, some people think this is still 2000 and call his serve a "liability"... but some people are profoundly stupid too, so whatever

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Fererro.......

I'm one of the person who would blindfoldedly subscribe that it is absolutely right to consider Ferrero as a very versatile player who can play on many surfaces and not only clay.

hardcourt
2000: 20-15
2001: 18-11
2002: 22-13
2003: 30-12

not many matches on grass though

two hardcourt titles and the Madrid TMS indoor title

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Fererro.......

He had a few decent hardcourt results in his early years. The most notable ones were his semifinal in 2000 TMS Paris, win in 2001 Dubai, and semi in 2001 TMC Sydney. But he really didn't fulfill his potential on non-clay surfaces at that age. He's really made a name for himself the past couple of years on faster surfaces, though, and I think that started mostly in mid-2002 with his semi in TMS Cincy and title win in Hong Kong over Moya shortly after. After that, he started to become consistently strong on hard courts.

Djokovic // Del Potro // Paire // Thiem // M. Zverev // Youzhny
Coric // Khachanov // Donaldson // A. Zverev // Bublik
Ferrero // Rafter

Well, since nobody else is going to bite.... Naldo, if you didn't have time to look up the stats yourself, perhaps you shouldn't have posted about it *ahem* *nudge*

Re: Fererro.......

Whether you did this for attention or not, you're a fucking hypocrite who owes tennischick an apology.

Do you duckfans make a point of trying to out stupid each other? So far as I can tell, Tangerine is so far in the lead that it's pretty much a battle for second place... but good luck with that, none the less.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Unlike some, I don't see the reputation as an extension of my genitals. It's really... not that important to me, ya know? I don't need to bad rep you to tell you that you're an immature tool.... I can just tell you that on the board. Not to say that I've never bad repped before, but I ahve to be in a certain mood to bother with it.

Way to totally avoid the point, btw, which is that you are a huge hypocrite with a fair amount of egg on your face at the moment. That's why you owe an apology. I'm sure that she doesn't care, but that isn't the point.

Also... your behavior in TC's thread compared with this thread.... is not same as when I critcize people, and if you think that it is, then you have the IQ of dog crap

I lack direction.
