Is Nadal a better Grass Court Player or a better Hard Court Player?

What would you argue?

Yeah, he has beaten Youzhny 2 times on HC.

Not Berdych, but he has had match points against him in Cincinati in 05'.

Grass. It's a natural surface where Rafa's movement works better, his serve skids better and there are less grass specialists that can challenge him than hardcourt specialists.

Re: Is Nadal a better Grass Court Player or a better Hard Court Player?

The tour is dominated by clay and hard court specialists. Nadal's ability to adapt his game gives him the edge on the grass courts. That coupled with the fact that the courts have been slowed down although his heavy spin will always be more effective on grass than on hard courts.

That's wrong. A surface is not just about pure speed, it's about movement, how it takes spin, among other things, that's why nadal wins rome and not miami, although Rome might play faster.

Grass slightly because he does well at wimbledon.

And he has done nothing at the US or Aussie. Hard courts are his weakest imo

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Well, he has a QF in both, I think that is more than nothing.

Re: Is Nadal a better Grass Court Player or a better Hard Court Player?

I think hardcourt is too hard on his body, grasscourt is more soft for his physical game and the rallies are shorter. I dont think it has much to do with how the both surface plays.
