For Baghdatis, having fun on court is key for success

Sorry if this has been discussed before. But Marcos' great run at this year's Wimbledon is not a surprise for those who saw him play in the first week.
He was just having a great time on the court. Even when he was losing his doubles match he made jokes with opponents, umpire and crowd and just enjoyed playing the game.
Since he first appeared on the Tour I have always thought that he must try to maintain this attitude as his career progresses, even if that includes doing silly things in huge matches sometimes. You can see that he usually plays much worse when he puts himself under pressure.
I don't know whether he just likes Wimbledon that much. But it's working again and I hope he can keep this up.

Re: For Baghdatis, having fun on court is key for success

he is right, by having fun he can plays freely and relaxed, and of course that is great for his tennis,

many players makes such a drama of a match, so many times the chokings happen by that, the mistakes with grueling ues and double faults when players got nerveous ,stressed and things like that

Both flukes. Losing to a semi-paralised Agassi was enough.

Marcos Bagdaddy's change of paste in the game can be fascinating when he's on. His both grandslam semi finals was no fluke. He's a great tennis player with extroadinary personality. Hope he continues to win on

I was at the Bandy-Baggy match. He was loving the Cypriot support and having a good laugh at it

First sentence isn't true, but the second part, well that can't be argued with.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Well he doesn't look miserable on court and he has moved back to Cyprus, all benefical for Marcos.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
