Hewitt lost mental edge?

His tiebreak record is 2-10 for this year thats terrible for a top player.

Even in the 4th set against Nole a break up twice and couldn't see it through.

To me he has lost that mental edge on the big points..No wonder he's nowhere to be seen in the top 10.

Nole was Amazing though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Double Grand slam champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Holder of 9 Masters 1000 events # legend

Against top players he definately has. He doesn't seem to have the belief against them when things get tight.

In all honesty, Hewitt played like a pussy with the lead in the 4th set.

Yes, he definitely has. Despite what he says, he doesn't believe in him self against top players. He seems to go out there thinking he's going to lose. Especially against Federer.

exactly, when he got those breaks in the 4th, those service games he played was an absolute joke, didn't go for barely a shot and nole killed him for it.

There is no way Hewitt will ever make top 5 maybe even top 10 if he keeps choking like he does.

Re: Hewitt lost mental edge?

Really a shame yes. The break back at love in the 4th set said it all....He really lost his mental edge.

Rusedski during commentary was right. Getting older makes you more nervous...I think Hewitt is actually playing better than in his heydays, but what made him the best back them wasnt his tennis but his mentality on the court..He doesnt have it atm...and if he doesnt get it back I dont see him getting anywhere near the top 5
