Tomas Berdych vs. Jonas Bjorkman

Who ya got? And in how many sets?

I think this could swing either way- a lot will depend on Berdych's state of mind and how well Jonas can mix the play up and frustrate Tomas.

That being said, if Tomas can keep his head together, keep the serve very solid as it has been, return well and hit his groundstrokes accurately I think he will take it in 4 sets. Otherwise I can easily see Jonas taking this in either 3 or 4 sets.

Your thoughts?

EDIT: Sorry for the typo on the poll. The last two options should be Bjorkman in 4 sets and Bjorkman in 5 sets respectively

Berdych should clinch this in four, maybe five sets. I think he's determined to get to the QF since he knows who he could meet there.

My guess is they will finish all the remaining third round matches and the 4th round matches of the top half of the draw. So they will probably play the 4th round matches of the bottom half tomorrow. Weird scheduling

I think Berdych will take this but five sets would not surprise me.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Dangerous match for Tomas, hopefully he will come through, but I wouldn´t be surprised Jonas wins this the way he´s playing lately

That doesn't even make sense, Wimbledon's scheduling = :retard:

Re: Tomas Berdych vs. Jonas Bjorkman

This could go 5 for sure and Berdych is 9-0 and Bjorkman is excellent in 5 setters as well.

I think Jonas will get a set and he will be peppering Berdman's backhand pass.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Tomas Berdych vs. Jonas Bjorkman

Berdych is a bad matchup for Bjorkman. Jonas will need to serve exceptionally in order to stand a chance of winning. I say Thomas in 4 sets.

Filippo VOLANDRI, Pablo ANDUJAR, Yuki BHAMBRI, Fabio FOGNINI, Thomaz BELLUCCI,
Santiago GIRALDO, Donald YOUNG, Gael MONFILS, Juan Martin DEL POTRO, Alexandr DOLGOPOLOV

Well their only previous meeting was in the 1st round of the U.S. Open in 2004 and Berdych won that in five sets 6-3, 2-6, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.

Mind you Berdych is a better player than he was back then but needless to say grass is not hardcourt so I don't think we can learn too much from that encounter other than it will probably be a very tough match.

Re: Tomas Berdych vs. Jonas Bjorkman

Apropo Bjorkman and five sets I will never forget that five setter he lost to Rusedski in the 97 US Open semis. What a blown opportunity that was!

Well. the surface is the difference here and Bjorkman can get the ball lower and that is in his favour, though Berdych can drill that poor Bjorkman forehand.

We pretty much know how Berdych is going to play, but for Bjorkman, he won't be a Mirnyi and go in all the time, but he won't be hitting moonballs either.

Re: Tomas Berdych vs. Jonas Bjorkman

totally depends on the outcome of Nadal-Soderling

if Nadal wins, Berdych will crush Bjorkman in 3

if Soderling wins, Bjorkman will crush Berdych in 3
