With the current mediocre crop of doubles teams playing....how good do you think a Sampras/McEnroe old man team would do? I think they'd do well....as movement isn't nearly as important as it is in the singles game....though i'm sure at their older ages that their reaction time isn't as good. It also seems like a better transition for Pete, to get some doubles play in over the months before playing Wimbledon next year.

They'd do well, I reckon that they would robably go deep into most of their tournaments but not win many.

BTW I don't think Pete will play Wimby next year.

I don't think it would work that well. Pete has never been good at doubles in my opinion (maybe due to lack of practice). But doubles requires team work and the two players knowing and getting used to each other. that sort of thing takes time.

They would not do well. They would get their asses kicked.

Lol you seem to know about doubles. There are no mediocre doubles players in the Top 8. Doubles is a diferent sport from singles. There is a reason why no top singles players do not dare to compete if not with a doubles specialist.
