Wimbledon Organisers=> dumbest idiocy!! **No play SUNDAY- players should sue them!!

...
...

...
Do the Wimbledon organisers enjoy suicidal schedule making
Are traditions more important than finishing a tournament & allowing half the players to finish their Rd.3 matches
Is there any other sports event where the organisers are completely dumbass

Hope the players who are being required to play back-to-back-to-back-to-back 5-set matches next week sue Wimbledon Organisers~~~ so the toffee snobs get the message

It's not necessarily the organisers' fault. The locals don't like play on Sunday because they demand their peace and quiet. There's a reason why this middle Sunday was put in place to start with.

And anyway, even if they did schedule play for tomorrow, it wouldn't help much. It's going to rain pretty much all day long.

Peace and quiet? It's just a sunday per year.

They can't just decide instantly the day before to play on sunday. They've already organised catering and whatnot which can't be just cancelled the day before.

Yeah, I think the Sunday would only be used if there had been very bad rain on say, 3 of the first 5 days with a major backlog of matches. That way they can plan on the Thursday/Friday for the Sunday.

Peace and quiet? From what?

but it is not question of weather it will rain tommorow or not. But the real question is what will happen when is rains most of the next week.? The next week looks pretty much bad too. they needs to use whatever playing time is available to make up the missed matches.

As I said on another thread, it would seem the influx of people into the area creates disruption for the residents with parking and whatnot. Yes, it doesn't sound convincing to me, but then I don't happen to live next to a Grand Slam tournament and neither do most of us on here.

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Exactly. That is a ridiculous excuse.

Obviously whining and complaining isn't going to change anything, but it is a disgrace that some players could be into the quarters before all the 4th round places have been decided for the bottom half of the draw. Outrageous.

Surely The All England Club could use the extra ticket money to compensate the residents for their one day disruption? I used to live near Ibrox and every second Saturday you couldn't get a parking space within 25 streets of my house. I coped.

In fact, it's tennis, not football. It's not like people will start with chants and whanot.
