Gordon Brown...Please don't cancel Wimbledon!!!

CNN USA is speculating if Britain raises the terror threat to severe or the highest level, any ongoing events can be cancelled at will. This includes the Diana concert tomorrow and Wimbledon.
AGAIN, this is SPECULATION at the moment, but if they find any more bombs and threats around Great Briatin...all bets are off!!

All they've said on Fox News is that security is being reevaluated (I think is how they put it) for Wimbledon. I don't think they have much to worry about, the rain will do enough to stop play.

Would i be the only one here who wouldn't mind Wimbledon being cancelled if there are more terrorists attacks?

the world has and will always have more terrorists.
terrorism is nothing new, but letting it alter the "normal" course of events only means that the terrorists have their "mission accomplished".

many people have jobs and a living to make off of these events, they are not just about entertainment.

roosevelt= " we have nothing to fear except fear itself". bush has made a political career out of scaring americans. i for one am sick of it.

Of course public safety comes first and I wouldn't want any person being hurt or killed by bombs going off in GB. However, giving these idiots what they want by canceling major events around GB pisses me off. It's a catch 22...

Re: Gordon Brown...Please don't cancel Wimbledon!!!

IMO it is almost impossible, Wimbledon won't be cancelled, there's too much money involved, though I wouldn't care if it happens in order to stop another attack.

Re: Gordon Brown...Please don't cancel Wimbledon!!!

Even at the height of IRA bombs in London A decade ago, Wimby or any other event was never cancelled to my recollection. I lived in London at that time and everyone, by and large, went about their normal business.

MAY ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY!!
