why do you people insist on wishing for players to retire?

Those players are making a living, earning excellent money and doing what they love, so why should they retire for some nerd from the web?

Not much of a fan if you're wishing that they retire.

Who cares about fans if they are earning money for themselves and making a good living. Why would you suffer from some guy you don't even know? If the hardest thing in your life is the fact that a tennis player isn't playing as well as they used to, you have a very lucky life.

Re: why do you people insist on wishing for players to retire?

Exactly. Look at Athurs vs. Bjorkmann. Those guys could've retired years ago but have continued and now one will be in the last 16 at Wimbledon. Henman is nowhere near where he was 04, but he can rightly say 'I was in the R64 at a Grand Slam and nearly got into R32'.

Many players who have retired early have often experienced problems, Bjorg being the most notable.

If you can compete, don't retire.

Hang around MTF some more and you'll notice some trends about those asking players to retire, i.e. notable gamblers and Croatards.

So our favourite players have more chance of winning.
