Can Guga or Marat get back to no. 1?!

Mmmrrr, we all know I'd die to see Guga there. Guys, I just miss the Guga-Safin rivalry so much! It's so sad. Well, I think Marat has better chances, but ever since he had that bad year, he's been streaky. Come on Marat

With each passing season, I discover new reason
SAMPRAS --> Rios --> KUERTEN --> Kafelnikov -->
Federer --> Hewitt --> RODDICK --> GONZALEZ -->
NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->
TURSUNOV --> Mantilla --> KIEFER --> NADAL -->
Karlovic --> Odesnik --> Stepanek --> Monfils -->
??

well said hitman. is that a haiku?

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

Hitman, I didn't point my finger at you specifically!

With each passing season, I discover new reason

NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->

Marat needs to stop thinking about how badly he's been playing and JUST PLAY! Can he get back to no.1? Definately.

As for Guga, of course he can. And as Mal said...It's just a matter of time before he wins a major other than the French.

I miss the Guga/Marat rivalry, too. Hamburg 2000.

"My life is a dream... and I only ask that my health holds up enough to allow me to continue doing what I love- playing tennis."--Guga

Marat will, barring injury. Its only a matter of time before he wins another major, and we saw what happened in the months following the last time he did that

Guga depends on how he heals - like TBE said, look at Norman. Magnus has been coming back for longer than Guga and is having a lot of struggles

That said, I still think Guga has another French in him.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Marat definitely can, if he can find a cure for brain cramps!

Guga? He has to heal first from that hip injury before he can think of being #1. But, he did it once, he definitely can do it again!

Sooooo, let's all get drunk and go to
