Anyone know what the problem was?

Why does Mitya bother himself by playing all these events while being injured
He should have skipped the entire clay court season.

If you compare mitya's last year results and this year's results for the beginning of the year he actually isn't that much different point wise.

If he can clear up the pain on the ankle he can still have a great season on grass and and hard. His best results from last year came summer/early fall, so hopefully the pattern will follow!

Month or so ago Tarpischev said Mitya might require surgery on his left wrist. So I doubt it's only his ankle that troubles him now.

I dont think the wrist bothers him anymore. according to his website he talks about his ankle.
