Rome SF: Gonzalez crushes Volandri 6-1 6-2

brilliant performance by Gonzo

Pippo didn't do much wrong today, Feña was just too good. Fantastic week for Volandri despite this drubbing

Gonzo must keep this up in the final

did not expect this one to be sooo easy. I thought Gonzo would have little trouble breaking Volandri's serve, but this was too much..

The surprise S&V tactic was very effective. Nice play. Good to see him back on form.

Excellent match from Gonzo!

Volandri looked so disappointed, I felt so bad for him. But he had a great week, so I guess he can be proud regardless.

Total and complete domination by FERNANDO!

Poor Filippo though I felt really bad for him.

Re: Rome SF: Gonzalez crushes Volandri 6-1 6-2

Gonzo on fire - a joy to watch. Volandri didn't play bad at all, quite the similar level as vs. Fed and Birdman, but Gonzo wasn't in the mood of just giving him free points like his two previous opponents. Awesome winner/UE ratio by Gonzo, and even Volandri had decent ratio, far better than Fed two days ago for example.

Pipo crashed against a brick wall. Nice run though, should help him climb some places in the rankings.
