What a choke by the biggest choker of them all. I think he had 40-0 in the
1st set when serving for it then lead 5-2 in the 2nd to lose 5-7. Trademark James.

James Choking again?

Congrats to Nico. Good win for him.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

In the 1st set James had 5-4 and 30-0, he hit a clear ace and was cheated . It was 30-15 instead of 40-0.It is embarassing that Hawk Eye is not used.

Re: Massu defeats Blake 7-6(3), 7-5

I admit I thought it would go to a third set, but I prefer to think of it as Nico not giving up more than James choking They both had trouble holding serve. And clay is Nico's best surface, and not James' of course.

I'm a fan of James, but he deserved to lose today. Serving for set 3 times and getting broken in all 3 cases ...

I thought he played well and should have taken it to a decider at the very least, it was the best I have seen him play for a good while. Its the choking thats holding him back...

If he hadn't been cheated in the 1 st set he would have won this match.

Yes, he played well, especially given the fact that it was on clay, but he was absolutely hopeless in the most important points
