Didn't see a point of this but it looks like it turned into a pretty good match.

Unfortunately Fox Sports LA Internacional didn't show the match!

So I didn't have coverage..

Any impressions about the match

Re: Nadal d. Federer 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(10) in Palma.

Federer wasted 3 match points in the third set tiebreak, seems like he loves to waste match points and opportunities against Nadal...

Nadal started out strong, broke early in the first set but got broken back, they stayed on serve until the very end of the set when Federer got broken... Federer broke right at the start of the second set and never looked back... until the third set, in which Nadal broke early but Fed broke right back, then they got even until the tiebreak, in which both players wasted match points until the mentally strongest of the 2 was able to finish the match

Pity I couldnt' see it.

10-12 on the TB, gawds. They both had so many MP there.

Of course MTF crashed, can anyone give me the goods on their reactions and how the TB was played? Seemed serious, but it's hard to judge from the SB.

Would love to see a statistical analysis of this (games/points held on serve on grass, etc...).

Looks like the spectators got their money's worth though.

Yeah, it was pretty good considering changing the surface every two games :retard: Well, they completely missed just a few sliced balls, especially on grass side. It was tough to win games on grass, for sure.

Rafa serve&volley but very good at doing it

And they were changing shoes all the time Many said they wouldnt.

Rafa

Now translate this to a win over him at Wimbledon.

The timeouts were 2 minutes long instead of 90 seconds so the players could change their shoes

Apparently it was much tougher to win games on grass!

The two double faults (one for each) in the tiebreak to prolong the match and create suspense were priceless . It was obvious the result would be a win for Rafa. Nevertheless, they actually looked very serious especially Rafa. I guess they wanted to give the impression to the fans that it was a real competitive match. There were some nice points though. And of course some lovely hugs at the handshake (Roger actually patted Rafa's butt )

I hope the match at RG is this close, if they get to play each other.

Let me put a positive spin on this for Federer:

the more he loses to Nadal the more he is due to beat him.
