Biggest choking moments

I don't now if there are a thread for this then maybe time for a new one anyhow.

Write down your memories of the biggest chokes,my "favourite" is sadly Micke Pernfors-Jimmy Connors in R16 Wimbledon 1987.

Micke had 6-1 6-1 4-1(!) and lost,howabout that?

Jonas B Svensson-Ivan Lendl 7-6 7-5 6-2

Re: Biggest choking moments

Coria is the first to spring to mind. French Open final 2004. That was his best, and probably only, chance to win a slam....and he won a set 6-0 and still managed to lose. I don't care if he was cramping, that's a masssive choke. :retard:

Goran´s choke against Rafter in the Wimbledon final. Ivanisevic did win it, but his last service game was something unbelievable....Glad he won it though!

Very similar match at Roland Garros 2003:
Varlet served for the match at 6-1 6-1 5:2 against Nieminen and lost 6-1 6-1 6-7 2-6 4-6.
Also spectacular choke was in US Open 1993 in the 4th round. Well serving Jamie Morgan had 5:0 in the 5th set and lost to Masur 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 5-7.

Todd Martin on the Wimbledon's Central Court lost twice having double break in the fifth set (Washington, Agassi) what is also something special knowing how good service player was Martin.

OMG, this is hard to beat... 2 MPs on his own serve, and another break on top of it? Damn, that's one mighty impressive choke business....

Re: Biggest choking moments

Roddick led 7-6(1) 5-3* 40-0 against Fernando Verdasco in Rome R3 2005. Verdasco then double faulted but Roddick said the serve was in so they replayed the point and Verdasco ended up winning 6-7(1) 7-6(3) 6-4.

For a start Roddick should have kept his mouth shut and won the match, but he should have won anyway as he had 5 MP (I think) in total.

Thats not a choke, you :retard:

Even when PHM didn´t choke, some people have to say he did.

Re: Biggest choking moments

I saw an interesting match in Nice 1994 (if we talk about "best of three chokes"). Agenor had led 6:1 in a deciding tie-break but Rosset saved 5 consecutive match points and won 6-4 3-6 7-6(6).
