That's a really interesting issue:
Roger received 10 points 126 times, Del Potro 18 times, Djokovic 55 times, Tsonga 11 times, Nadal 53 times, Haas 6 times, Dimitrov 15 times, Wawrinka 5 times, Murray 25 times, Gasquet 11 times.
Del Potro has a nearly 200 points lead ahead of Djokovic even though Novak received 3 times as often 10 points compared to Del Potro.
Nadal has a few more points than Haas but Rafa received nearly 9 more often 10 points compared to Tommy.
You can see that it's not always an advantage to receive the maximum points many times when you get fewer points then on an average.
It's just as I expected. Roger gets over 60% of his pts from being ranked #1. Rafa/Novak get about 45-50%, Andy 30% and DelPo gets only 12% of his pts from being ranked #1. He just gets on people's top10 so much more often than these guys even if he's not their absolute favorite. DelPo = not hated (too much), loved by few and liked by many.
Similar for Haas/Rafa, Rafa may have more dedicated fans, but Tommy's generally liked by more people.
Now of course, this assumes everyone answered honestly, without agenda
