My pleasure Neely!

I gotta say the match isn't too exciting but I'm happy to provide updates for you all - I know I appreciate it when people do it for a match I care about

Popp holds at love again for 5-4.

Re: final scoring?

Popp played two great points for 0-30 then Greg played two great points for 30-30 then DF then Popp misses an EASY forehand 2nd serve return at 30-40 and ANOTHER at Deuce ........ and ANOTHER at Ad Rusedski, three poor 2nd serve returns in the net in a row!

Popp really should be winning this match, he's playing better...... except for the big points.

Re: final scoring?

Popp gets far more points on Rusedski's serve in this set, Rusedski is almost everytime in danger or in trouble where as Popp had love service games in a row

he only must play the same in this frigging tie-break then Greg has no chance, just like against Rainer, Rainer completely wore him out, but Rainer is physically among the toughest guys on the tour, Popp isn't... that's the difference

Re: final scoring?

yes Neely, definitely. Popp is FAR superior off the ground but has done a good job of missing a lot of chances and tossing in some errors at really tight moments. Popp is running Rusedski around a lot but yeah.

Popp will find a way to blow this match, he had enough chances to win in straight sets *playing a violin*
