dancevic, raonic, pospisil and nestor's original last name was nestorovic. Canada's entire team has balkan routes, half the team born in the balkans (raonic, nestor)

Not sure Czech Republic (Vasek) counts as Balkans ... but let's say Eastern European roots. And that won't change when Peliwo joins team (Polish roots). The fact that 3 of them can speak / understand Serbo-Croatian language though has to help (and we'll need all the help we can get :-) ).

I hope that Canada can pull off the upset. Joker is going to win both his singles, but the other three matches can go Canada's way.

¡Vamos Rafa!

Unfortunately I think Serbia will take this one...Djoker will win both his matches and Tispy should be able to beat Pospisil, who has only played 16 matches on clay in the last 3 years (only 4 on the main tour)

Canada Pospisil - Dancevic - Peliwo

Crazies Dolgopolov - Fognini - Janowicz - Gulbis

Young Guns Thiem - Vesely - Coppejans

Novak isnt getting to belgrade until wednesday night after a long us open run and charity commitment and janko has been attrocious this year save for his US open run. Also tom tebbutt mentioned in his blog today that nestor seems to think novak may not play friday which is why they called up a 3rd singles player instead of nenad zimonjic's regular davis cup partner. I still put serbia as the favourite tho, but canada has a great chance. Id say the odds of winning are 60% serbia, 40% canada

No Bozo for Serbia. That's too bad. He's better than Lajovic, although ranked lower.

Lajovic is very good on clay and would have a chance against Pospisil.
