Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

Hi, it seems people don't know how to commit for tournaments anymore. In Toronto I have 75 registered entries and another 10+ who haven't committed but have already posted their picks. Shall I throw 'm all out or allow the ones who made picks before midnight August 6 and count their picks as a commitment?

Normally I'd say ask for a WC but I've already granted 3 and otherwise 11 people will have to fight for 2 WCs.

Like I already said, players who asked for wc while the commitment list was still open should be treated as if they have already commited on time.
Players who didn't ask for wc and haven't committed - sorry, but IMO they cannot play.

Yeah, that's what I think as well. It's just a greater number of players this time so I didn't know for sure. I'll send 'm all a pm stating they can still apply for one of the two remaining wild cards.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

I still have a number of requests for extra wild cards. I've made the decision I won't hand out anymore since everybody should know the rules by now. If any of the other managers objects this decision please state this with the reason(s) why before 8 am CET.

First of all the rules of commitments are simple and clear, senior-players know them very well and if they reject to follow them that's their choice. Let's not make unnecessary confusion and riot.
BTW: All senior-players, who are asking for Toronto WC, last week were taking part in Sopot or Washington tournament, why didn't they commited then? Sorry but ...

Second of all I agree whit this:

I even suggest the unlimited number of extra Wild Cards to be at manager's disposal for any new-player to be granted, but only when asked by one.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

Hi,
PAW Cincinnati thread has been created.
I have a little doubt with the tie-break rules:

Note: Tie break rules
In case several players have the same number of points, the following rules will be used to determine their ranking:
1. The greater number of correct picks. If there is still a tie then:
2. The greater points of a single pick. If there is still a tie then the greater second-best pick, and so on. No pick will be considered better than 0 pts.
3. Less picks used in tournament
4. If there is still a tie then players will stay tied.

are this the correct rules?
