Use the most recent for this week, which means the one from 24th July.

Player's B PAW scoring pts: = SQRT (100*A / B) or 10*SQRT(A)/SQRT(B)
(SQRT=square root)

EXAMPLE:

Indian Wells 2004 R1:

A.Medina-Garrigues vs D.Randriantefy

Medina Garrigues' rank pts: 489.25
Randriantefy's rank pts: 365.25

Medina Garrigues PAW Scoring pts = SQRT (100*365.25/489.25) = 8.64 = 9
Randriantefy PAW Scoring pts = SQRT (100*489.25 / 365.25) = 11.57 = 12

Hence, A.Medina-Garrigues vs D.Randriantefy..........(9-12)

3. In case of unranked player or a player who has less than 20 ranking pts, he is allocated 20 pts for the calculation of PAW scoring points.

can someone help me out here , cause i don't understand how you get those 9-12 score for that match ?

cause when i tried it i got totally other results

* means x ?
/ means : ?

so its 100 x 365.25 : 489.25 ?

where's the mistake i made ?

You have Player A & Player B against each other

Player A's points are Player B's ranking points divided by Player A's ranking points. Then multiply that by 100. Finally take the Square Root of the result (button on calculator). Round to the nearest whole number.

/ is the symbol for division. For example 1/2 = 0.5

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

This pick was edited. Fortunately they were not a position where they could win, but here is the evidence.

PAW (Pick-A-Winner) #45 – Generali Open Kitzbühel 2006

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Yea, that's right, but it looks like making a tiny, insignificant change, withing 14 minutes from posting a pick, and it was made while the matches are normally not on (at night).

I included it as it didn't seem a genuine attempt to cheat considering the time and all. It was just something I noticed when I was updating everything.

One thing with the countback as vamos israel and sandg have the same points after 16 picks with the same ratio. So when I noticed vamos israel had a 29 pt pick and sandg had a 27 pt pick as their 2nd best, I put them in the higher placing.

For example Player A has 300 ranking points and Player B only has 3 ranking points. You change Player B's ranking points to 20.

Player A's Scoring Points would be 20/300, then multiply by 100 and square root the result.

Player B's Scoring Points would be 300/20, then multiply by 100 and square root the result.

tiptopdaisy, I don't believe you've calculated the scoring points properly for Washington.
