Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

At the moment I could do Valencia, any problems I will let you know.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

There is the case that one player has broken the paw rule: "Don't edit the post and never delete it!". He posts the picks before the matches and when the matches are over he changes the picks for completely new ones. IMO this player should be removed from the tournament, although he could end this game with the points he has already won.

How am I suppose to send him this message - on PM or forum?
Any other suggestions?

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

I think in the above case the player should be disqualified from the tournament, forfeiting any points gained for correct picks in that tournament to date.

I would suggest you tell him by PM, so he definately finds out about his disqualification, but also on the forum, so others are made aware, and to put others off cheating.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

That is blatant cheating to get an advantage to do that and they should be disqualified.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

There are 2 people playing in Memphis who've been editing their posts. I don't think you just disqualify one of them or you'll look like a hypocrite IMHO.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

It's not about making some tiny, insignificant changes, withing e.g. 10 minutes from posting a pick, but about changing more important information.

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

There are two people who have been editing posts:

bavaria 100 edited post #66 almost two hours after making it, and play would definately have been started at the time

he also edited post #90 more than two and a half hours later, and again, play was definately started at the time.

Both of these posts only have one PAW, and both happen to be losing PAW's, but he could have easily had more than one losing PAW in each post, and deleted some after the matches finished.

Iskra edited post #126 more than 8 hours after originally posting it, so could also easily have removed some losing picks.

So to make it fair both of the players will be disqualifed, forfeiting any points gained for correct picks in that tournament.
They will both get the massage on PM and on the forum.

As far as I know Iskra she wouldnt cheat , she's just new to the forum and she dont know the rules , I'll tell her not to do it anymore , of course I know it is not possible not to take away her points ... I hope it wont happen again

Re: PAW ATP Managers Thread

Did anyone see the original picks or you're just speculating that losing picks were deleted?

If that was the first offence of this kind I would give them the benefit of the doubt...
If you want to throw the book at them, assume that they picked all matches played between the original post and the ammendment and give them 0 points for those matches...
there's no need to disqualify picks from previous days in which no offence was committed...
