Re: The Ultimate "CHEER" thread....

my brother had the opportunity of seeing both coria and nalbandian the other day at the tournament at Buenos Aires, and he was much more impressed with Nalbandian. He said he looked every bit the gentleman and even had the opportunity to chat to a british journalist who was there. Apparently the british reporter told him that Nalbandian is called the "Ar-gentleman" in certain journalist circles. thats good to hear isnt it'?

Thanks for sharing that with us Undomiele - your brother is very lucky. I've never heard that name either! I certainly wish I knew who the British journalist was or what paper he works for - then I could go out and read his reports!

That's not selfish Tennis724 - just perfectly normal! I feel exactly the same about Wimbledon and Monte Carlo!

You know, that's wonderful. I am not really surprised, but it's wonderful still.

Re: The Ultimate "CHEER" thread....

I think "Ar-gentleman" is just an off-the-record thing shared between some of the international journalists. They respect him a lot it seems.

Re: The Ultimate "CHEER" thread....

Thanx for that info, Undomiele.

Anyway....I guess David will get more nicknames during the following years.

Aren't all love stories destined to fail?

David is "Ar-gentleman" sounds great!

Anyway at the Australian Open the eurosport's commentator said that the journalists call him David "Beckham" Nalbandian for his new hairstyle. If it's true, I think it's a silly thing...
