You're right, Gooner. And to solidify a top 3 ranking, Roddick would have to lose early (like before the fourth round), and David would have to advance to the final.
Ignore that: David would not be top 3-even with a win. Roddick is 700 points ahead of David. There are not enough points for David to gain (he'd only gain 750 points with a win, and Roddick would lose 450 at the most) to overtake Roddick.
