I'm also worried because it's a 2nd round match.

Nalbandian - JMDP - Djokovic - Nadal - Mathieu - Verdasco - Coria - Tipsarevic - Nieminen - Calleri

Yep, Stan's serving is very good, and both his backhand & forehand can play strong strokes at baseline. his match is always impressive, coz his can play many winners, but also many unforced errors. His defending is worse than the attacking, and returning & movement is not good enough (that's why he always lost to some big servers). Stan may cause trouble in the 1st set for David, but if David adapts his match rythm quickly, he will find the way. noted Stan has very strong fighting spirit.

BTW, I am a big Stan fan , so that will be difficult for me to see their match supposing they meet in 2nd round (I don't see Montanes will cause trouble to Stan) cheers for both If Stan can produce some surprise, I will be happy for him as well.

Re: Australian Open 2006

Yes, I wish him quick recovery!!! Looking at the draw there are some players that he plays difficult against - like Ferrer, Nieminen, Santoro. There is also Mario Ancic who is playing very well lately. So he has to be fully fit and healthy. Good luck, David!!!!

And also James Blake, he could meet Nieminen in 3rd round and Blake in 4th. Both of them are on fire right now, and won titles this week.

Re: Australian Open 2006

Woodbridge on David:
"Mr Consistency of grand slams the past few years has been Nalbandian. He won the Masters Cup against Federer in November, and he's the sneaky one of all of them because he's always there and he seems to be able to get through a lot of long matches and still have enough gas in the tank.

"I call him a sneaky player because he doesn't have as big a game as a lot of the guys, but he manages his game better than most."

Newcombe: "I can't see anyone else (besides Federer, Hewitt and Roddick) winning it. Maybe David Nalbandian."
