ARG vs. SVK in Bratislava....

According to the 2005 Davis Cup calendar (I almost typed "David Cup"-and I still think it's fitting), this tie will take place on September 23-25 in Bratislava.

As I type this, the Russians beat the French 3-2, with Andreev beating Mathieu love, 2, and 1 in the decider, and Ivan Ljubicic is up two sets to love-and has an MP to clinch the tie- against Pavel in the CRO-ROM tie. And Ljubicic gets the victory.

So, now the semis are like this: CRO vs. RUS in Croatia, and ARG vs. SVK in Slovakia. Best of luck to the Argies.

According to a (male) friend of mine - Bratislava is the European city with the highest proportion of beautiful girls Guess I'll just have to go and keep my eye on Team Argentina

You should go-and maybe you'll find another suitor like the "bread man" to keep you company.

No.......there can't be more than one "bread man" in the world! Besides, my friend Nick didn't say anything about the men there being gorgeous- mind you, knowing him I doubt he was looking at the men......... Actually I'm not sure the tie will be in Bratislava itself yet - just know it will be Slovakia - though guess Bratislava is the most likely city.

Blava is a great city in the regard the females are very good looking, the food and alcohol are very cheap, sure it isn't as nice as Prague or Vienna, but Blava isn't that bad.

Rosie, you better enjoy cheese dumplings, the Slovaks tend to love the meat.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: ARG vs. SVK in Bratislava....

At first I have to tell you that I am unbelievebly happy that I have finally the opportunity to see David live. I hope he will be fine and he will come. Davis cup will be in Bratislava as it is mentioned 23. - 25.09.2005. Everybody in SLovakia is happy that we are in semi and they are afraid of Argentina especially of David who is for them very very good player who is able to play on any surface. Rose I will be happy if you come we can cheer together for Argenina, our chicos will need it. Now I am looking for argentinian flag to have it there. It will be great. Rose if you are sure you come just let me know.

Zuzana - it would be great to meet with you in Bratislava I am not sure what is happening yet - i have a few work issues to sort out first but I am hoping to be there. A couple of girlfriends of mine from Hungary have already decided to go to the tie supporting Argentina, so I'll probably go to spend some time with them as well as watch the tennis.

And don't worry GWH - I love cheese dumplings!!!

Rose I am looking forward to see you. And it is very nice that you love cheese dumplings /it is from sheep cheese/ - it is our national meal and all slovak people love them. Maybe also Argentinian team will taste it. ))

Re: ARG vs. SVK in Bratislava....

Ceci it would be great to get argentinian flag originally from Argentina. But I think it won't be possible or ... ?
And anyway no doubt - our argentinian boys will beat my slovak boys and the final of Davis/d/ cup is here.

Come on you have to be there, and sadly I can't be in Slovakia, but that is not by choice and I am happy that you like halusky, it's very good for you and as for those Hungarians, well they could be trouble.

You're right I would enjoy it for sure, at the same time I do prefer the Slovak girls.
