Re: Basel

good one Nova.

Just hope he plays and well we know he loves it there, last year final, 2002 a win. So lets hope for the best. Roger will be there aswell, and Roger is on the role, never won it and wants to do it now, its his home tournement.

so well good luck!

Re: Basel

Well, if he hasn´t chances to reach the master i´m not sure if he has to take the risk to make a worse injury in his toe....But of course i love to see him play always, but i want that he´ll be 100% great to the next season, maybe is time to recovered and work harder in his service.....

Re: Basel

I'll translate the article later, but what David said was that if he can't play in Basel, then he won't play in Paris either and will start doing medical research and will start preparing for next year.
It was also confirmed that Coria and David will start playing doubles together.

i will wait for Tuesday's result, it's pity if he can't go his right place, but will be wise choice. Basel draw is tough, first round opponent Mario Ancic is already not a piece of cake, not mention he is in the same semi as the local Roger. If he sticks to playing, will he go further with such a toe? will he get enough points to go Houston and take revenge of Mac? Unfortunately i can't see that...... the worse is he could even worsen his injury.

I think is the best for him, if he can´t play in Basel, just preparing for the next year.......

Re: Basel

Not really a good draw at all, but most of that has to do with Federer being in his half. I'm not expecting him to do much here, particularly after another very dissapointing loss in a final.

"I think that now and until the end of my career, I can really play with my mind at peace, and no longer hear that I've never won Roland Garros." - Roger Federer

Re: Basel

yes, that's what they're saying. They want to have a permanent team, get a lot of practice together, like when they were kids, and I think the idea is to play doubles together in the DC...I like the idea, they were great when they were kids! I think they won Wimbledon and the USO.
