very, very difficult start, it seems David will loose in first game of second set too

I don't have any idea what's happening. My pick was David for this match. Great player, but it's time to consider retiring. No, not because of this match but because of this season and injuries. It's bad to see a great player this way.

It is very disappointing to see him playing that badly. Injuries is one big reason, but his weak mentality (and gave up matches easily) is rather the #1 reason. He no longer could play consistently like he did in 2003-2006, and when was the last time he reached the QF of a Grand Slam?

I think his only 'big' win remaining would be Davis Cup. It is really sad to see such a great player failing to win a Grand Slam.

I also have started to lose faith in him...

He will definitely be unseeded at US Open, unless he wins a big tournament next 2 weeks.
